The ORG Fair!!!!

So Today was the ORG Fair in Main Place. So many people in one space I liked it. I think I just earned myself a PR Spot for BPG. Oh yeah, I forgot... you guys might not have a clue about what I'm talking about... So the ORG Fair is the Organization Fair for campus organizations and close by organizations that depend on the college population to keep things running. A PR is a public Representative in an organization, and BPG is the BLACK PLAYERS GUILD which is my organization of choice! Now back to the story! A Lot of people were there a lot of organizations have full rosters of hopeful additions to their club or group. There were all kinds of groups there from Fraternities to Sororities, to Arts groups to WIPZ Radio. Everything you want to know about clubs and groups at Parkside were there. I'm going to be biased and promote my organizations of course, but it's only because I know what's going on completely because I'm always there! So first I'll do WIPZ since I've talked about them before it shouldn't take that many words to tell you. If you want a station you just have to come to the meetings and let someone know... if you recognize me in the halls talk to me or stop by the radio station in Molinaro there is always someone there doing a show and if not then that's an open spot that you can take and fill with whatever you want! Well Almost whatever you want... there are rules! Or if you just want to listen to the station to hear all the upcoming events on campus it's on your radio on 88.5 fm. So Simple. As of now the meetings are at 4 on Mondays so stop in!
Now for BPG... Black Players Guild despite the name isn't for black students only... it's named after a poem called Black Out which is about the gray areas that are looked over by many people. It is an organization for the artistic people out there. Play writers, Poets, Lyricist, Rappers, Beat Makers, Producers, Musicians, Comedians, Actors, Actresses, Dancers, whatever your talent or aspirations to learn we'll help you and plug you into where you can use your talents to your advantage. If you act and didn't get a part because you didn't have the look BPG Wants you we are here for the people who don't fit the typical Hollywood A List star look but has the talent or the potential to be great. Our debut as an organization is Friday at 7:00 in the Communication Arts Theater for the Martin Luther King Program. We will be doing a session with our poets in the group who volunteered. I am one of those poets along with My roommate and my dear friend Britney who also does a blog. We are going to do it so big! I'm excited about it, but nervous as ever... It'll be great we've got a great set up! I can't wait... But BPG is in it's first semester and so far everything is going so well we've got a group of really dedicated people who are willing to do anything to help the group and the people in it. BPG meets Monday nights at 8 until we get everyone's schedule so that we can work around our members! We're flexible! We meet in Molinaro D132 and it's pretty nice. at BPG the stage is yours.
