World Bazaar...

It's Tueday and I'm at work again... this gets to be a bummer when it's hot... I want to just be outside but I can't until I'm done with everything. I saw a few classes being held outside the last few days... I hope I get a class like that. But that's beyond the point... today I saw some really cool stuff. Its World Fest Week and everyday there is a different country represented in the meals and some even perform in main place. Yesterday was the Belly Dancing presentation in Main Place. She was really good, I didn't even know it was possible to move like that. She did several different styles of belly dancing. It was pretty hot. Today was the capoeira presentation. A group from Milwaukee came down to show us their fighting style. For those who don't know about capoeira it's a dance-like martial art that looks really good. It's from Brazil and many ordinary people know the style from the video game Tekken. My favorite characters have this fighting style... the original guy Eddy and in Tekken 4 Christie... I want to join a group and learn it but I've got too much on my plate at this point in time so I'll wait a little bit. I didn't catch what is going on for tomorrow but I'll be there camera ready so that I can get you guys the pictures you want to see...

On a different note... I was nominated for two positions at the radio station... YAY! I am in the running for Assistant Station Manager and the Promotional Director.... cool huh? lol... But I am also the newly appointed Promotional director and website coordinator of BPG so I'm just movin' on up the political ladder of my organizations... A big step up... But I'm sure that I can handle anything that is thrown at me. I'd love to be on the Exec Board of WIPZ... I could help contribute to the growth of a station... somn like takin' over the nation! Everyone listen to us online... or else!!! Kidding... listen at your own risk... you'll hear anything from hip hop to death metal depending on the show...lol But that's why I like WIPZ... we get along for the most part and have completely different genres... hotness if I do say so myself... and trust... I do...

So I'm bored at work on a Friday when it's a nice day out for the most part. I have no one to give towels to because everyone is outside enjoying the weather... I can't do laundry yet because it's too early to start and there isn't anything for me to wash. The SAC is pretty much deserted. I came an hour early so that I could work out and get credit for class because I didn't really start on time... procrastination... is the key... But on the plus side I get to see my buddy from the Navy this weekend. Even though he's making me miss a skating session... I can deal... I haven't seen him in a while so I'll take the cut no matter how deep...lol I worked on muscles today that I didn't even know existed so I'm probably going to feel dead on skates anyway. My legs are going to be sore... but I can deal... Me and my roomie gave up three things as a part of a class project/personal improvement thing we've got going on. I can't have fast foods, corn dogs... long story..., or tea. Because everyone asks me why tea since its good for you I'll fill you in... I'm anemic... tea is an antioxidant... anemic means that I have low iron and antioxidants block iron out of foods... since I have low iron... the iron that is being blocked is essential for me to be getting and it affects my health in more than one way... My iron is so low my doctor pulled the whole scare me to death thing and said, "Oh My!" after poking me with a needle... LAME!

catch up...

So lately I've been busy trying to keep my head above water in school while being active in everything else. A few times I had to compromise and not do something I really wanted so that I could do something I had to do. But I'll get over it. So Break just ended and I had limited amounts of fun... I had work over break. But inbetween work I had fun. I went to my kid brother's basketball game upstate in Madison. They lost but they were cheated by the whistle so there was nothing they could do... King boys basketball.... gotta love those guys.... they played well. Not to mention the fan support they got. There were drones of kids there supporting the team not to mention the many alumni like myself. We even had some people from our rival school Riverside... in blue and gold... I've got the pics... lol. I also went skating twice... nothing unusual I always got skating. Wednesday night was the dollar skate and of course I came all the way from Milwaukee to Racine to show off my skills. The DJ was an upset but other than that I had a lot of fun. I didn't do my FAFSA and my mom is bugging me in the worst ways to finish it but she doesn't know that she's not really helping me by nagging....she's just making me angry... but it doesn't matter because now I'm at school and away from home and I'M LOVIN' IT like McDonalds. Now that I'm back in school I realize that its almost over... school lets out in about eight weeks and then I'm back stuck at home. The last eight weeks are going to be hectic. BPG has two and a half events in planning process for next month and I'm in two of them... Last Poet Standing and One Night Stand... both are poetic events one involves more than poetry. The set up will be nice You'll love it so come and see them once the dates are final I'll post the time and location. The radio show has a few shows going on. I'm not into the hardcore rock and Ska music but a lot of people are and there are a few local artist doing a show soon through the station. So I'll be there supporting the station and the local artist. BSU is having a old skool hip hop and R&B skate night at Racine's Skatetown this Saturday night at 8 I believe... I'll be there of course. teaching whoever whatever they'd like to know that I know myself. I've gotta jet for class so I'll be in touch.... TOODLES!!

Sorry for the Delay Folks!

So a lot has been going on... I've been to two auctions... at the Delta auction I bought a date that I have yet to get in contact with. I've been in a program held at Main Place where I sang on stage in front of many many people... I didn't forget my lines this time... I worked mostly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. It was the Great American Voices presentation. We did a select few black American musicians, artists, and songwriters who've changed the way music is today or paved the way for up and coming artists. We did people from many genres, from gospel to rock, from blues to rap. It turned out great. Considering how we had very little practice it was great. I have to say... you can count on people sometimes. I've been to two parties. The first was hosted by a sorority on campus Zeta Sigma Chi, ZEX, it was small and I had fun. I danced with one guy most of the night, mostly because he towered over me at 6'6", and he was cute. Seemed like a nice guy. I went to support their fund raiser since I missed their auction due to a dodge ball game... they auctioned off the soccer team... hotness... The radio show has been goin' on pretty strong. Soon we'll have free shirts to give away on air along with other prizes so I'm excited about that. I've fallen behind in all of my classes because of jury duty... I still haven't caught up to the rest of the class in any class but spanish... but I'll excel at that until I start learning something that I didn't cover in high school. I have pictures to put up but I'm at work and the computer is a little off... so I'll leave the pictures for another day...
